The East Ridge Revitalization members will be working on the Exit 1/Ringgold Road planting project this Fall; volunteers from the community are needed to complete our goal of making Exit 1 and Ringgold Road more attractive for our citizens and visitors. We are asking that citizens of the community step up and step out for the good of East Ridge. We will update with dates and times as soon as they are available. |

1ST ANNUAL ENERGIZE GOLF TOURNAMENT A SUCCESS |
On October 1, 2009 we held our 1st Annual Energize East Ridge Golf Tournament at Battlefield Golf Club. It was a great day for golf from everything to the weather, the fellowship and the competition. The foursome from Thompson Engineering eeked out first place over two other teams that were one stroke behind them. The proceeds from this event help offset the cost of maintaining our new storefront office in the Osborne Shopping Center and for us to proceed with the goals of the community in making East Ridge a better place to live, work and play. I want to thank everyone who participated and we look forward to doing this again next year. |

The Exit 1 Project Committee met on August 11, 2009 to discuss the progress of Phase 1, which includes the Flag and Gateway projects. The Committee is working with Thompson Engineering to finalize conceptual plans for both areas. We have made a great deal of progress toward the presentation of the vision of the Exit 1 area and everyone present, including two new members of the Committee, were enthusiastic and thrilled. There are good things happening in East Ridge, so come and be a part of it! |

Energize opening receives great response |

Thank you to everyone that came out to the grand opening of the Energize East Ridge office. There was a great response. Though it was hot, everyone enjoyed the atmosphere of community coming together and learning about the revitalization efforts being pursued, because “We believe in East Ridge.” The City of East Ridge offices will be closed on July 3 in observance of the July 4 holiday. Also, there will be no garbage service on that Friday. Garbage collection will resume a normal schedule on July 6. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July |
